Our retail outlet at 32 Thayer Street London W1 was established over 70 years ago and has been run by the same family for the last 50 years. In addition to Invisible Mending, we also offer a tailored alteration service for both cloth and leather garments.
We offer a comprehensive alteration service ranging from trouser shortenings to complicated dress alterations, we are also able to effect alterations to curtains and other soft furnishings
Our shop is equipped with a fitting room where experienced staff are on hand to advise on the many different aspects of the alteration and repair services that we undertake.
We have recently invested in the latest type computer driven embroidery machine and are able to provide a custom embroidery service. Whether for corporate clothing or to personalise garments or home furnishings we offer a bespoke desgn service including digitising of existing logos - This is a huge contrast from the needle, thread and thimble with which we have become so well known but our emroidery customers have to date been stunned by the quality of the work and the fast friendly service.
Normal turnaround time for our invisible mending service is 3 to 4 days for garments taken directly to Thayer Street but an express 24 hour service can sometimes be arranged. This service regularly taken advantage of by businessmen and tourists alike, with only limited time in London.
Our alteration and emboidery services are based on a 3 to 4 day turnaround as garments are all processed at our tailoring facility outside London.

Saturday 10.00 a.m. - 1.00 p.m.
A free estimate and a postal service is available for those customers who are not able to come to our shop.
